Interview: Seattle, Washington, USA

Right now, in this moment, I would say what's important to me is acceptance. The fact that everyone needs to accept everyone. It's really big to me now because I'm living in Seattle where everyone accepts each other for the most part, but I've been to towns where that is not so much the case. It's very important to me that people accept people for who they are and where they come from and what they believe in. Just because I've seen so many people in other places get put down for their beliefs or like what they wear, how they act, what kind of music they listen to, whatever. People won't accept them and they're put down and I don't think that's very nice.
Being happy, being free, and not holding back from what you really wanna do, that's real important.
I accept everyone! If I hear someone talking bad about someone else or making fun I'm always the one to jump in and say like, hey just let em do their thing! That's who they are, we all believe in different things, what they believe in doesn't have to affect you, I don't know why you have to put em down. That sort of thing. It's a pretty simple concept, but a lot of people just don't think about it or get it, and then they might really upset someone. You never know what people are dealing with and what might set em off. It could be one little thing.
Being happy, being free, and not holding back from what you really wanna do, that's real important. Why not do what you want to do and not let other people or things hold you back? I'm big on not letting other people influence you so much that you're doing what they want rather than what you want. Do what makes you happy. I feel like people maybe aren't really told that enough. You just do you! It might be hard, to get to where you want to be, to reach your goals. But I don't think you should ever stop trying. Yeah you're going to have some anxiety, I've dealt a lot with anxiety myself but I've overcome it and I feel like I'm a much better person for it. I've grown a lot and I've learned a lot. Just keep goin! Just keep swimming!
